Two measurements decide whether a watch strap fits: the lug width of your watch and the size of your wrist.
1. Measure the lug width
The lugs are the two arms that hold the strap on each side of the watch case. Measure the gap between them in millimeters, ideally with the old strap removed. Small women's watches commonly use 8, 10, 12 or 14 mm. Men's watches commonly use 18 to 24 mm.
Browse women's leather watch straps (8 to 14 mm) or men's leather watch straps (18 to 24 mm).
2. Measure your wrist
Wrap a soft tape or a strip of paper around the wrist where the watch sits, mark the overlap and measure it. Decide whether you like the strap snug or loose, and note the size when you order.
